Ted Williams Baseball Museum And Hitter's Hall Of Fame - Priceless collection from Ted's life and career including the first contract Ted signed with the Boston Red Sox, his two Triple Crowns. Open Tues.-Sun. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Take 200, 20 miles south of Ocala, at Hernando traffic light turn right, travel 3 miles west on CR 486. (352) 527-6566.

Appleton Museum - Fine arts museum housing permanent collections of European painting, sculpture, and decorative arts, Pre-Columbian, West African, and Asian art as well as antiquities. Hours: Open daily 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed certain holidays.

Rodeos - The Williston Horsemanís Park, just south of Williston on Highway 41, is host to three major rodeos during the year. The Pee Wee Mercer benefit rodeo is held annually in early February. In April, the park hosts the highly competitive High School rodeo, sponsored by the Florida High School Rodeo Association. Opened with a grand parade, the event includes barrel racing, calf roping, bareback riding and team roping. This event draws competitors from all over the state. In October, the PRCA-sanctioned rodeo comes to town. It includes calf-roping, barrel racing and bull riding. Its generous purses draw participants from all of Florida and neighboring states.
